“Hyundai shows auto start with smartwatch and voice command”

Car manufacturer Hyundai is presenting next week at the U.s. Consumer Electronics Show a smartwatchapplicatie that it is possible to have a car to start. The app also supports voice control.

The program works with Hyundai Blue Link, integrated navigation system that can connect with smartphones to real-time traffic information to retrieve. That system already exists an android version for smartphones and there adds Hyundai now so a variant for smartwatch with Android Wear to, made the South Korean manufacturer Friday known.

With the app, and a Hyundai-owner of his car, after he the watch through bluetooth has linked to his phone, to remote control. The owner can car start, doors open and close, lights turn on and off and sounding of the horn. Hyundai will demonstrate the technology next week at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. According to the car manufacturer works the smartwatch app in combination with first and next generation Hyundai cars with Blue Link. It pertains to models like the Sonata, Genesis and Azera.

“The connect with a car through a smartwatch and voice commands was something previously only seen in science. Now we can use that opportunity to the owners of Hyundai cars with Blue Link,” says Hyundai. Incidentally, it seems the functionality is only available for Android. The manufacturer left still nothing about support for other platforms.
