Have him now 4 years in use with the 5d3 and mostly like it that’s fine. It is a pity that the shutter button is slightly less sensitive, making you noticeably harder to push. And the rubber also makes it to multiple places los, what for this money is not supposed to be allowed.

Pros

  • Firmly
  • Electronic reliable, never connection problems
  • Fine battery compartment

Cons

  • Duration
  • Rubber release
  • Shutter-release button is slowly worse

It is an expensive product, where a lot of cheaper alternatives for sale. You can buy in spite of the counterfeiters on the market, then the original, then you expect to be rewarded with the good quality and reliability.

And in terms of reliability, it conforms well, the batteries/electronics have never lost connection with the camera, the schroefmechanisme to the camera mount is also “up to the task”.

But on the other hand, lets the rubber in many places to release it. Now I have 2 5d3’s, and 2x the original grip….and with both of them is the rubber is very loose around it. And on 1 of the grips starts the shutter release button, which woolly/insensitive to be, that is not fine.

For this money, because they are expensive!, you really should have a better finish expect this. Which is a pity.
