Acer has a new Chromebook announced. The Chromebook 15 has a 15.6 inch screen which is optional with the fullhd-resolution equipped. In addition, there is a new version of the Chromebook 13, which is a touch screen of the Taiwanese company.
The Chromebook 15 comes with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels, but there are also cheaper varieties with a resolution of 1366×768 pixels. In addition, there are versions with 2GB or 4GB of ram, and 16GB or 32GB emmc storage. The processor is a Core i3 from Intel’s new Broadwell-generation, but once again, a cheaper option in the form of a Celeron processor is available.
The laptop weighs about 2.2 pounds and is 24.2 mm thick. The connection with a wireless network via a mimo 2×2 wifi ac card, and in addition, there is support for bluetooth 4.0. Also, there is hdmi, a card reader and a usb 3.0 and 2.0 port. In the USA the starting price of 250 dollars, converted to 208 euros. The euro-prices that Acer is going to count are, however, not yet known.
The Chromebook 13 gets a variant with a touch screen. The other specifications remain the same as in the current model, such as the Nvidia Tegra K1 processor. The starting price of the Chromebook 13 with touchscreen in Europe 329 euro.
