Sharp announces Android tablet with nfc support to

Sharp for the Japanese market a new Android tablet announced that will have an nfc chip. This allows the RW-T107 information from rfid chips to read. The tablet is, according to Sharp intended for the business market.

The nfc chip in the Sharp RW-T107 would meet international standards, but would be in Japan, currently only usable with the FeliCa system from Sony. According to Sharp, is the nfc feature in the tablet is particularly useful for applications in industry, for example for identification purposes or for reading customer cards. As far as is known, it is the first tablet in which an nfc chip is included.

The Sharp RW-T107 features a 7″touchscreen with an unknown resolution. Judging from the images the tablet seems to have a micro-usb socket, a sim card slot and a hdmi output. The tablet runs on Android 2.3.

Sharp will be the new tablet in september on the Japanese market release. The production is still limited; the manufacturer thinks there is a monthly five thousand to build.
