Sale 3DS pulls strongly in Japan after price cut

Nintendo’s price cut of the 3DS in Japan sales up driven. In a week’s time went the cheaper handheld 215.000 times over the counter. Since the launch, the 3DS is not as well sold in Japan.

Website TechCrunch reports that the sales of the Nintendo 3DS in Japan on the rise. In the first week after the launch, there were over 350,000 copies sold, what collapsed to 200,000 handhelds in the second week. The price reduction went officially on 11 August, although some stores have previously the lower price used. The 3DS sold between 8 and 14 August 215.000 copies.

After Nintendo admitted that sales of the 3DS were disappointing, decided the manufacturer at the end of July, a hefty price reduction to announce. In Japan dropped the price of the handheld from 25.000 to 15.000 Yen, which is equivalent to a decrease of approximately 223 to 133. There are now in the land of the rising sun, 1.5 million Nintendo 3DS handhelds sold.
