RIM has a new version of its BlackBerry Curve smartphone announced. The Curve 9360 is the successor of the Curve 3G 9300 and features nfc, a higher geklokte cpu and the new BlackBerry OS 7.
RIM keeps his mouth shut about what type of processor found in the new Curve, which is also in the Netherlands it will be released. The unknown processor was clocked at 800MHz. Supposedly it goes to the same Xscale processor, which is also on the Curve 3G.
The new Curve has nfc, a feature that is already in the Bold 9900 was to be found. Although nfc use is for mobile payments, it is unclear whether the ‘secure’variant of nfc RIM is applied. The smartphone runs on BlackBerry OS 7, which also includes the new Bold and Torch models.
The Curve 9360 is with 109x60mm the same size as the Curve 3G, but 11mm is a lot less thick. Also he weighs slightly less: 99 grams.
