The pc version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will support dedicated servers, Infinity Ward announced. Since 2009, the company used only a matchmaking system for Call of Duty games.
Infinity Ward announced at the Gamescom trade fair in Cologne that the pc version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will feature support for dedicated servers. A rationale for dedicated servers to bring back gave the developer does not. In July, spokesman Robert Bowling in an interview with Tweakers.net already clear that Infinity Ward extra attention to the pc version of MW3 gave, but he wanted the support for dedicated servers when still not confirm.
