Overclocker tilt Celeron cpu to recordsnelheid of 8.3 GHz

The record of the highest clock speed of a processor is this weekend at 8.3 GHz. Friday night was by overclocker TaPaKaH an Intel Celeron processor to the default speed of 3.2 GHz to 8.3 GHz clocked.

The singlecore Celeron D processor was in the hands of overclocker TaPaKaH to a world record overclocked. The 65nm produced Cedar Mill processor in an Asus P5E3 motherboard, stabbed and with liquid nitrogen cooled. The, launched in 2006 processor tap normally at a clock speed of 3.2 GHz with a bus speed of 133MHz and a multiplier of 24x.

TaPaKaH knew the bus speed, however, to screws to 345MHz, in which the multiplier is designed to preserve left. That resulted in the recordsnelheid of 8309MHz. The voltage on the core was increased to almost 2V. The speed is the highest achieved clock speed, although the processor with lga775-foot is not really current anymore. Celerons, however, are frequently used for record attempts: their clock speed are far above the standard.
