NCsoft has its new mmorpg WildStar unveiled at the Gamescom in Cologne. The game is set in the futuristic fantasywereld Nexus, and provides players with four playing styles. It is still unknown if the mmorpg is released.
The new mmorpg from NCsoft called WildStar and takes place on the planet Nexus. Nexus was the home of the mighty Eldan, who suddenly disappeared. Different races from all corners of the universe to try a piece of the legacy of the Eldan in their hands. NCsoft describes the game as a future fantasy mmorpg.
Developer Carbine Studios is trying to innovate in the genre by different styles of play instead of player classes to offer. The four styles are explorer, soldier, scientist and settler, which, according to Carbine, piece by piece, unique gameplay should offer. Also promises Carbine that the choices of the player will influence which content later in the game becomes available.
It is not yet known when WildStar comes out for the pc, or the manner in which NCsoft is planning to make money on the mmorpg.
