HP stops WebOS and want possible pc division divestiture

HP has announced that it no longer phones and tablets with the WebOS. The manufacturer seems to be its business radically to adapt: there may be a spin-off of the pc division of HP.

HP is looking for an alternative to the WebOS software. It is not inconceivable that HP’s mobile OS to purchase. For the pc-department, are the buttons still not decided, but within the company being talked about a fork. That let the company know during the presentation of the quarterly figures.

HP seems to focus more on services to want to address: the manufacturer made known to the company Autonomy is to buy for 10 to 11 billion dollars. Autonomy is primarily active in the business it market.

In particular, the stop WebOS products is startling: HP seemed to be heavily in to put on the Palm acquired mobile operating system, with the introduction of various mobile devices and the announcement of WebOS for pc. Recently it was announced that the TouchPad tablet in the United States, bad sells. The WebOS tablet is probably not to the Netherlands.

With the pc division of HP is also not good. At the presentation of the figures for the second quarter, it was announced that the Personal Systems Group, a significantly lower revenue achieved by the sale of consumer pcs. HP announced in the third quarter of this year, profits have been booked from 1.93 billion u.s. dollars, in sales from 31.2 billion dollars. In addition, the manufacturer’s expected revenue for the full year 2011 down.
