Blizzard extends WoW with ‘transmogrification’system

Blizzard is going to be a system in World of Warcraft for players to have more influence on the appearance of their characters. The transmogrification option will appear in patch 4.3 and makes it possible to combine items to adjust.

Tom Chilton, lead game designer of World of Warcraft, unveiled the new feature at a press conference during GamesCom. The option is part of patch 4.3 of the successful mmog. With transmogrification, players have the ability to articles the appearance of an other object in the game. That need for more variety lead. Now see a lot of top players there pretty much the same: after a period of time to acquire the same equipment, which is that they are most valuable.

With the introduction of patch 4.3 it is therefore possible to change the appearance of objects to match. Both weapons and items of clothing may look to adopt a similar object from the game, while they have their properties preserved. An axe can so the appearance to adopt a different axe, without that the properties change. That works two ways: weaker axes may look like the stronger axes and vice versa.

There is, according to Chilton, with one exception: objects can not have the appearance of a Legendary item, the highest category of stuff in the game. A Legendary item can however the appearance of a lesser variant. Further transmogrification material – and class-bound. A metal glove, the appearance of a metal glove, but not of a leather or fabric glove, and a Warrior can have a weapon does not give the appearance of a weapon that is only suitable for a Death Knight. Blizzard has about the new option now has a blog online.
