“Samsung presents the first smartphone with Snapdragon 810-soc”

Samsung has its first smartphone model with Qualcomm Snapdragon 810-soc announced. The device comes in January. Thus appear earlier rumors about the postponement of the Snapdragon 810 is incorrect.

This is first smartphone with Snapdragon 810 appears: in January, says Samsung. The manufacturer himself speaks not of the Snapdragon 810, but Anandtech know that it comes to this soc. Samsung advertises with LTE cat 9, which allows users on three frequencies at the same time of 4g use with a maximum download speed of 450Mbit/s: such networks are not there yet. An earlier entry in the database of Geekbench pointed out that there is a Note 4 with Snapdragon 810 would appear. It is also the first soc with a modem that has 4g up to 450Mbit/s supports, making this Note 4 of this soc should make use of.

The Snapdragon 810 is, for now, the most expensive soc from the line-up of Qualcomm. It is also the first 64 bit processor from Qualcomm for high-end smartphones. It has four Cortex A57 cores and four Cortex A53 cores, paired with an Adreno 430 gpu.

The appearance is striking, because it seemed that devices with the 810 would appear. The rumors about the postponement of the Snapdragon 810 seemed to be true when Qualcomm does not itself concrete, it was then that the soc in the first half of 2015 is released. The past few years rested smartphonefabrikanten, including Samsung, HTC, LG and Sony, the models each time with the latest soc from Qualcomm as they which in the spring released.

Samsung is more likely to be the first soc from Qualcomm may use. That happened for example with the Galaxy S5 LTE-A Broadband, a variant of the Galaxy S5 with Snapdragon 805. That device was recently in the Netherlands as the Galaxy S5+.

The Galaxy Note 4 S-LTE will come in January only in Samsung’s home country South Korea and differs except the soc, and the 4g support in none of the current Note 4. The manufacturer has yet published anything about the price. It is not the first Note 4 variant with a 64bit-soc: there is already since the release a version with an octacore processor from Samsung itself with the same octacore version with four Cortex A57 cores and four Cortex A53 cores.
