HTC smartphone with 720p screen dive – update

There is a picture online appeared of the unannounced Android-smartphone HTC Vigor. The device would feature a 720p screen and would be the first device with audio technology from Beats By Dre.

The image was visible on a screenshot that would come from the Dutch retailer The Phone House. That report HTCInside.de as the first published. The Vigor should have a 4.3″screen with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels. That is much higher than the 960×540 pixels on the HTC Sensation. The Vigor would run on an unnamed dual-core processor with a clock speed of 1.5 GHz. The device would feature Android 2.3.4 with version 3.5 of HTC’s own Sense skin.

In addition, the Vigor of the first device with audio technology from Beats By Dre, a result of the acquisition of Beats Technologies by HTC. The Vigor popped up earlier on in the air as a cdma device for the Us carrier Verizon Wireless. The screenshot on the device is however in German.

It is unclear whether the leak really is. The page would now be removed, and is therefore not possible to view. The text seems through Google Translate to be met. The Vigor would be the flagship the Sensation must follow up and according to the rumors in October, come true.

Update Tuesday 13:37: The Phone House denies that they are of the Vigor online. “The screenshot is well-recreated, but is wrong on several points”, says marketing manager Mark Bosch. “Telefoonafbeeldingen have a maximum width of 115 pixels and the color of the unit is shown below. A delivery time of 1 to 2 months we cannot enter in our system. In addition, we may, but up to five ‘bullets’ to enter, while the screenshot there are six shows. Moreover, knocking the fonts do not.”

Bosch, incidentally, is not bothered at all the ‘leak’. “It’s good for our ‘link building’, because everyone has a link to us. I’m very honored that someone has used to leak, but we are in this case not the source.” Bosch says no idea who the shot is made.
