“Sony: PlayStation Network is gradually brought back online after ddos”

According to Sony the PlayStation Network is back online for all users, after the service since last week with a fault suffered by a ddos attack. At the time of writing, there were still a lot of users with problems problems.

With a post on Twitter confirmed Sony PlayStation Network gradually comes back online. The company is engaged in the online service to recover after a hackerscollectief under the name Lizard Squad with a ddos attack for a failure caused. It is unclear when the issues for everyone addressed: according to Sony, there are still technical problems some users to ensure that they are not able to log in.

When the ddos attack from Lizard Squad was also Xbox Live victim. Microsoft had previously already know the service is restored. Also the hackerscollectief announced his attention now shifted to: on Saturday was the Tor network attacked by massive new nodes to register.

In an interview with Sky News said a suspected member that the actions of Lizard Squad’s aim was to draw attention to security. “One of the main reasons was the poor state of security at these companies. They would have sufficient resources need to have to protect themselves against such attacks”, says the Finnish hacker in a Skype video call.
