Iran is testing a new type of drone that is designed to at target in flight. This so-called zelfvernietigingsdrone by the Islamic country is seen as a mobile bomb. Many countries are investing in the drone as a weapon.
The Iranian army has indicated that the unmanned aircraft bombs on board and targets can drill, both on land, sea and in the air. Tests with the drone to be carried out as part of a large-scale military exercise in the Strait of Hormuz, near the Persian Gulf, reports the news agency AP.
Although Iran is very little information to give about the specifications of the so-called zelfvernietigingsdrone, it seems to go to small airplanes. Probably need the small size to make sure that the drones more difficult from the air to shoot.
Like many other countries, Iran has for some time been concerned with the development of military drones. One of the models can be up to 24 hours at a stretch fly, and a distance of 1700 kilometers to bridge.
