Developer and publisher Valve has announced that Dota 2 at Gamescom is shown and this year will appear. For the German gamesbeurs organises Valve, a tournament in which sixteen teams will participate.
The unveiling of Dota 2 at Gamescom will be accompanied by a tournament, called ‘The International’, that played with Dota 2. The best sixteen Dota teams of the world, of which ten from Asia, will participate in the tournament. The winning team goes home with one million dollars, as made by Valve Monday via Steam known. In the same message you can read that Valve had the game for the pc and Mac later this year in the shops.
The announcement confirms Valve earlier rumors that Dota 2 on the Gamescom in Cologne is unveiled. In the list of exhibitors at Gamescom was the developer of Half-Life stated with a product in the strategiegenre. Since Valve as far as is known no other strategy game than Dota 2 in development, was the obvious conclusion that the game in Germany for the first time would be shown.
Although the participating teams in The International are not specifically focused on Dota 2 be able to prepare, the game will not entirely unknown. Dota 2 is based on Defense of the Ancients, which began as a Warcaft III: Reign of Chaos-mod. In Dota 2 will be a lot of elements that are familiar from the original Dota.
