Pioneer announces a renewal of the top of his av-receiverlijn with the SC-LX85, SC-LX75, VSX-LX55 and VSX-2021. The first is adorned with the THX Ultra 2 Plus-label, while the other three have a THX Select 2 Plus certification.
The SC-LX85 and SC-LX75 follow, respectively, the SC-LX83 and SC-LX73 models, last year August have been announced. The biggest change for the SC-LX85 the possibility of nine audio channels, while the SC-LX83 is not going beyond a 7.1-speaker configuration.
According to Pioneer the SC-LX85 with Direct Energy HD amplifiers based on Class-D technology continuously 810W power supply, spread across nine channels. Per channel can be continuously up to 200W. The SC-LX75 can be just as the SC-LX85 nine audio channels to control, but with a maximum, continuous power of 720W across the nine channels are less powerful. Each audio channel is up to 190W available.
The two models have seven hdmi 1.4 inputs, one at the front, and two hdmi 1.4 outputs. This last is useful if you have two displays, the av receiver will want to hang without the use of a hdmi splitter. Also, there is support for Audio Return Channel, and can be sd or hd video to 1080p opschaald.
Both the VSX-LX55 as the VSX-2021 is a 7.2 av receiver up to 150W per channel. Just as the two more expensive models have the VSX-LX55 and VSX-2021 seven hdmi 1.4 a ports for the connection of sources and two hdmi 1.4 ports for the control of screens. Also have these models 1080p upscaling and hdmi passthrough in standby mode. The VSX-LX55 and VSX-2021 both have two pre-outs for a subwoofer.
All models are equipped with dlna 1.5 support, be able to work with AirPlay from Apple and get a usb cable for an iPod/iPhone or iPad included. The latter can be done via the usb cable, the amplifier has to be charged. Through the Air Jam app for iPod/iPhone or iPad can a playlist be assembled, whose numbers via bluetooth to four connected devices streamed can be. Also, the iControl AV2 app be used for the extended set of the receiveropties.
The SC-LX85 and SC-LX75 are available in september for a suggested retail price of respectively 2399 and 1799 euros, while the VSX-LX55 and VSX-2021 is available immediately for a suggested retail price of respectively 1399 and 1099 euros.
