The Viewsonic V3D245, 3d-monitor, is starting this month available in the US, for a price of almost 500 dollars. The 3d monitor uses Nvidia’s 3D Vision 3d technology and was first shown at the CES trade show in January.
The 3d monitor has a screen diagonal of 23.6″, a native resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels, and edge-lit led backlight. The 3d technology comes from Nvidia and the 3d monitor is also a pair of 3d glasses by Nvidia included. The Nvidia 3D Vision ir transmitter in the monitor built in.
Viewsonic uses a 120Hz panel with a response time of 2ms in the V3D245, so that in the 3d mode, a refresh rate of 60Hz per eye is to achieve. The maximum brightness of the panel would 300cd/m2. The V3D245 has, in addition a vga – and dvi-connector, and also an hdmi 1.4 port for the direct connection of, for example, a blu-ray spleler or a PS3. Further, the 3d-monitor with two 2W speakers and has the device to do this, a pc audio input.
The Viewsonic V3D245 is from August, available in the United States, for $ 499. About the availability in Europe, nothing is yet known. Viewsonic last year, already have a 3d monitor introduced in Europe, the V3D241wm, but which makes use of 3d-technology from AMD.
