Google accuses competitors of conspiracy against Android

Google says that a number of competitors, including Microsoft and Apple, a campaign against Android by patents to buy. Microsoft says Google just offered to work together on various patent portfolios.

In a blog post writes Google Senior Vice President David Drummond that Microsoft and Apple an ‘organized, hostile campaign” against the Android operating system. Which companies would patent hoarding for the purpose of Android thwart. Recently managed Microsoft and Apple, each in cooperation with other companies, in a number of patents from Novell and bankrupt telecom company Nortel to obtain. Google also made a bid on the Nortel patents, but withdrew eventually to the shortest end.

Google is claiming that the companies, the payment of royalties would force manufacturers that have Android on their phones to install. Microsoft does this already with Samsung and HTC, which each sold unit of money on the software giant should pay. This practice is according to Drummond at odds with the reason that patents exist; they would be used here to innovation, instead of encourage.

Microsoft lawyer Brad Smith late in a tweet to know that the company Google has offered to work together on the Novell patents, but Google there is nothing in saw. Spokesman Frank Shaw of Microsoft placed after that a screenshot of an e-mail that the claim of Smith confirms. Google has not yet responded.
