Foxconn wants million robotmedewerkers

Hardware manufacturer Foxconn, a Taiwanese odm and oem manufacturer, will in the coming years a part of its workforce replaced by robots. The company wants to reduce costs by one million robots to its production lines.

The majority of the 1.2 million employees of Foxconn are working in factories in Southern China: ‘only’ two hundred thousand employees are working in Taiwan and other countries, while the remaining million workers in the Chinese factories work.
