Adobe introduces development software for html5 animations

Adobe has released a preview version of its new webontwikkeltool Edge released, along with some sample projects. With Adobe Edge web developers can create animated content that is built from html5, javascript and css3.

Edge should it easier for developers to create things like banners, splashscreens and other animated website elements to build with open standards. Currently, such objects were often used Adobe’s Flash technology.

With the development environment can be done in different ways with text. In addition, the svg, png, jpg, and gif image formats are supported. Individual elements can be moved, scaled and rotated. The software also has twenty-five different transitions built in. A timeline can be as complex animations to be built.

Via the release notes let Adobe know that the preview version is still a few bugs and features missing. In addition to the trial version has Adobe also a few example projects online.
