TomTom has in the last quarter, less portable navigation devices sold than last year, affecting mainly the consumer division fell. The deals of the company with car manufacturers seem to be bearing fruit.

From Friday published quarterly financial statements of TomTom shows that the revenue from the consumer business of TomTom with 23 percent decreased vergeken with last year. The sales on the car market rose by 34 per cent, but this growth was not sufficient to the total turnover to maintain. That sales fell over the last quarter with slightly more than 13 percent to 314 million euros.
The decrease seems mainly to come through the emergence of free navigation on mobiles, the demand for pnds has fallen. Tentatively expecting TomTom also no improvement. The manufacturer assumes a decrease of 15 to 20 percent. In anticipation of that decline has TomTom already a one-time depreciation of 512 million. The number of users of Live services of TomTom is in a year’s time, according to the manufacturer, however, almost tripled. Now has TomTom 1.1 million Live Services users.
