SpaceVR wants virtual space travel possible

The start-up SpaceVR has come up with a way to anyone who’d like to be an astronaut would want to are a little bit the feeling of space. The company wants to images of recording on the international space station and then a virtual reality app.

The intention is to display video in 360 degrees to shoot them with a specially designed camera intended for use on the International Space Station. A number of parts for these so-called Overview One must on earth be made, and with a rocket towards the ISS to be launched, but other parts may be on the drive itself to be created using a 3d printer. This has SpaceVR the company Made in Space asked for help. Ultimately, the 360-gradencamera so on the ISS are put together.

As soon as the Overview One in each other is put on the space station can be started with the shooting of video footage. Then, the images sent back to earth and goes SpaceVR with it at the battle for virtual reality videos to build. This can then be used for several virtual reality goggles, the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive were called. Also Googles Cardboard will be supported. Ultimately, this means a virtual experience can be created where the user feels like he or she is in the room you are staying.

SpaceVR need money to have the plans to achieve it. This is why a Kickstarter campaign sought funding. The intention is to make a half a million dollar to get. If that is the case should the spare parts for the camera sometime this year to be launched, and next year the first images become available. If the idea catches on, the company wants in the future images are going to take from other locations, for example, from the moon, the planet Mars or from an asteroid.
