Sony pumps $ 20 million in indie games for PSN

Sony extends its Pub Fund program, with three years and allocates twenty million dollars for independent developers. The manufacturer will reimburse the development costs of these developers if their game exclusively on the PSN appears.

Sony announced the Pub Fund program for independent developers to extend by three years. The PlayStation manufacturer shall submit twenty million dollars aside for the development of games that are exclusive to appear on the PlayStation Network. The games are Eufloria, Okabu, and Papo & Yo are the first titles that the renewal of the fund is to be funded.

The Japanese group announced in 2009, the Pub Fund program at the Game Developers Conference. If Sony, a game good enough and the developer is willing to his game exclusively through the PlayStation Network has to offer, will reimburse Sony for the costs of software development. Among other things, the games Joe Danger, Critter Crunch, Flower and the PixelJunk series, are from the Pub Fund financed.
