The makers of the secure e-mail service ProtonMail have added a feature to their service in response to a question from the creators of the series, Mr. Robot. That lacked a certain feature that the main character in a client would like to have.

In the series main character Elliot in ProtonMail, an ‘account access log’, in which he can look up when there is an attempt to log in to his account. That function was, however, still not at all, then the creators of ProtonMail, which this week have been added. Other services, such as Gmail and Microsoft Outlook.com have that function already.

It is according to the developers of the mail service, which is the main character also will be used in the second season, for the first time that creators of a tv-series influence on the development of a security service. ProtonMail has to own say a few hundreds of thousands of users. The first season of Mr Robot, a series about a hacker in New York, is still ongoing and the last episode next week will be broadcast.
