Mediacentersoftware Plex is in the Netherlands and Belgium lwa released for Sony’s game consoles PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. In October came the software already out for the consoles of Microsoft, the Xbox One and Xbox 360.
Dutch and Belgian users with a Plex Pass can the PlayStation-app download. In the future it appears there is a paid version for users without the Pass, but when that is, is unknown. The app is not available worldwide: he only appears in Europe and some Asian countries.
This first version can only play videos. Support for music and photos should follow later. The mediacentersoftware appeared in October for the Xbox consoles. That version has more control via gestures and speech.
With Plex is it possible to have content to stream and sync between devices. The software is already for the most operating systems available as well as various mobile operating systems and devices such as the Chromecast and Amazon FireTV.
