The owner of Tom’s Hardware AnandTech purchased. There seems to be nothing to change at the sites, both of which have been since the nineties of the previous century in existence and both in English publish about computer hardware.
Purch Media bought Tom’s Hardware in 2013, and now the acquisition of AnandTech published. The company would not say how much it paid for the hardwaresite, since 1997. This fall, Tom’s Hardware and AnandTech for the first time under the same company. With the same company sit further including LiveScience and Space.com.
The acquisition follows a few months after Anand Lal Shimpi, the founder, the site left and for Apple went to work. Shimpi says in the press release about the acquisition that he was behind the takeover and ‘the wanted’. It is unknown what Purch want to do with AnandTech.
