According to Nikon, the Coolpix L23-compact cameras under conditions so hot that the housing is deformed. This effect could occur if the camera is turned off. The manufacturer calls the cameras can therefore be found.
Nikon claims that the hitteproblemen only in “very rare cases” may occur. Nikon recommends that users remove the batteries, and adapters to disconnect. The Japanese manufacturer is models free of charge for consumers to repair, but details about this will follow. A white dot on the socket for the tripod should soon indicate that compact cameras checked and repaired.
