Nikon announces 40mm f/2.8-macro lens

Nikon has the AF-S DX Micro Nikkor 40mm f/2.8 G lens announced. The new Nikkor lens is suitable for Nikon dslrs with aps-c image sensor; it is equipped with an ultrasonic af motor and has a 1:1 reproductiemaatstaf.

The AF-S DX Micro Nikkor 40mm f/2.8 G is the second macro lens specifically for DX-format Nikon developed. In October 2009, together with the introduction of the professional D3s dslr, the AF-S DX Micro Nikkor 85mm f/3.5 G macro lens announced.

The new lens achieves a reproductiemaatstaf of 1:1, has seven rounded of aperture blades and a closest focusing distance of 16.3 cm, measured from the surface of the sensor. The lens is constructed of nine lens elements, divided into seven lens groups, and has a correction system for the short distance. The lens weighs 235g, while the filter size, as with the other DX-macro lens 52mm.

The new lens is from August 25, to purchase for a suggested retail price of 279 euro. The lens comes with a lens hood and a soft bag for the lens in store.
