Microsoft asks patent on dualscreen interface

Microsoft has a patent pending on a system where an interface can be displayed on two screens at the same time. Here the two screens work together, but also as separate mobile devices act.

According to the patent application at the American USPTO is filed, the entire device, with one or two screens depending on the configuration. In addition, it is possible for the screens to disconnect, whereby the interface by wireless communication is still on both screens can continue to work. It is also possible for the two devices in the decoupled state or separately from each other.

In the demo video, that already in 2009 appeared to be pieces of shown of Microsoft’s invention: there is, among others, to see that a device is used at the ear to keep in a video call, while the screen of the second device, the contact shows. It is unclear what Microsoft with the patent wants. Maybe it dualscreensysteem implemented in future smartphones, but not all of the patented technologies will ultimately in products.
