Intel has its product portfolio mobile processors extended with the Celeron 787. The singlecore processor is part of the Sandy Bridge family, and should be suitable for cheap ultraportables. Faster cpus are on the horizon.
The singlecore Celeron 787 does not have hyperthreading and can, therefore, only one thread at a time to work. The clock speed is 1.3 GHz and a turbo mode is not present. That is for the integrated gpu. The standaardkloksnelheid of the HD2000 gpu is 350MHz, but can be increased to 950MHz. The processor features 256KB L2 cache and 1MB L3 cache and the ulv Celeron M has a tdp of 17W. The price for oems amounts to 107 dollars.
In addition to the new singlecore-Celeron, Intel is working on more powerful extensions for the mobile platform, in the form of four mobile Core i7 processors. Also that Sandy Bridge cpus are on 32nm produced, but three of them have four cores on board, and the fourth is a dualcore. The processors have all four on a 650MHz geklokte HD3000-gpu, which with turbo to 1300MHz tap.
The dual-core Core i7-2640M at 2.8 GHz clocked and features hyperthreading, and 4MB of L3 cache. The tdp is 35W, and the turbo speed is 3.5 GHz. The Core i7-2760QM and i7-2860QM are quadcores with hyperthreading and tapping, respectively, 2.4 and 2.5 GHz. The former has a L3 cache of 6MB, while the second is about 8MB L3 cache. Both cpus have a tdp of 45W.
The top model, which, like the other Core i7 processors in the fourth quarter would be released, the Core i7-2960XM. This Extreme Edition 2.7 GHz clocked and features 8MB of L3 cache and a tdp of 55W. Prices of the upcoming Core i7 processors are not yet known.
