‘Hdmi license does not include any cables for mini displayport to hdmi’

The organization behind the hdmi specification, HDMI Licensing, says there is no license for cables with a mini-displayport connector on one end and an hdmi connector to the other, and that this therefore no longer be allowed to be sold.

According to the hdmi organization has the license for hdmi cables decided that both sides of an hdmi cable to a female or male hdmi connector. “The Compliance Test Specification clearly indicates which tests are needed for all the products in the hdmi specification are defined.
