Dutch makers start with a 24/7 stream of his own life

Two Dutch makers of the VPRO are Wednesday morning at eleven o’clock started the project Super Stream Me, an experiment in which they their lives a few weeks of 24/7 streaming video, audio, and data.

The lives of the makers are to be seen at the site of Super Stream Me at the public broadcaster VPRO. On the site are in addition to the video and audio also, the heart rate and location to follow. In addition, they are also what mark the day, how much alcohol they have drunk, how often they have had sexual intercourse, and how often they have masturbated. The locations appear to be shortly after the go online of the stream in each case is not accurate.

The makers want to experiment to find out how technology and social media our lives influence. They have been inspired by the book the Circle by Dave Eggers, in which some of the main characters decide to use their live stream to be as ‘transparent’. In the book was not a 24/7-stream.

The intention is that the experiment leads to a documentary series on tv. That series will be from november show at the VPRO.
