BBC bring Robot Wars back on tv

The BBC has announced that the tv series Robot Wars to revive. The original show ran from 1998 until 2004, after which no new episodes were made. Now has the BBC let us know command to have given the make of six episodes of one hour each.

The reboot of the show will get a new formula with more robots and more fighting than in the old seasons. The tv show Robot Wars was no longer produced after 2004, but the battles went by as part of, among other live shows. The new series is commissioned by BBC Two and is being developed by Mentorn Media Scotland, which was also part of the original show, and SJP Media. Who are the presenters of the new show is not yet known.

According to the BBC, go on viewers a lot of new innovative robots to see, mainly thanks to the major technological steps of the past decade have taken place. The show is filmed in a specially built arena in Glasgow.

The show turned to home-made robots which were often equipped with circular saws, grapples, hammers and flame-throwers. These robots were controlled by their owners that the robots of the opponent tried to disable it in the cage. The experience affected one-on-one and Battle Royale-style-fights. During these battles, had the directors also watch out for the iconic huisrobots of Robot Wars. These were recurring robots such as Dead Metal, Matilda and Sir Killalot, which are fixed in place in the cage.
