‘AMD brings with FX-launch seven cpus’

The FX processors that AMD in the short term, wanted to release, would only be released in October. AMD would than seven cpu’s release, including three octacores, two hexacores and two quadcores. The fastest chips would 3.6 GHz be clocked.

The Turkish website DonahimHaber, regularly responsible for the premature leaking of information, has the details published about the seven FX processors that AMD in the last quarter of this year want release. According to the website would be the FX-cpu, known under the code name Zambezi and feature Bulldozer cores, in seven versions appear. The fastest models would be a clock speed of 3.6 GHz, but not all details are known.

The octacores would in three variants appear. The fastest of them, the FX-8150, get a clock speed of 3.6 GHz thanks to the Turbo Core technology speeds up to 4.2 GHz. The tdp of this on 32nm produced processor would 125W amounts, and that is the same as the tdp of the Thubans. The FX-8120 running at 3.1 GHz and would be with the turbostand 4GHz. The tdp of this processor would or 125W or 95W amounts. The slowest octacore, the FX-8100, 2.8 GHz clocked, has a turbo speed of up to 3.7 GHz and verstookt up to 95W.

The quad and hexacores would all four have a tdp of 95W. Of the two hexacores is only the speed of the FX-6100 is known: that would be 3.3 GHz be clocked. The clock speed of the FX-6120 is still unknown. Also the fastest quad-core, the FX-4120, the clock speed is not yet known. The slower FX-4100-quad-core would be at 3.6 GHz running.

Each core of the FX series have 1MB L2-cache, which the octacores about 8MB L2-cache, the hexacores 6MB and the quadcores with 4MB L2-cache, must do. All the FX cpu’s get 8MB of L3 cache and an AM3+socket. The processors would also all like geünlockte Black Edition; the prices are not yet known.
