Toshiba brings Qosmio F750 with lenticulair 3d screen

Toshiba has its Qosmio-series multimediamodellen extended with a new notebook. The laptop has a special 3d screen that uses lenticular lenses and where therefore no glasses needed for the 3d effect.

The Qosmio F750 3D has a 15.6 inch screen with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. Most important aspect of the screen is, however, that this is a refresh rate of 120Hz and 3d view without any 3d glasses needed for three-dimensional experience. The principle of operation is based on active lenses in the panel, the polarization of the led backlight control. For a good effect must the notebook the position of the user ‘know’, so that the polarization is adjusted accordingly. This is done with the help of the built-in camera in combination with facetracking technology. Through the webcam is the position of the viewer’s eyes, determined.

According to Toshiba is the first laptop in this manner 3d display, but Asus had a model that made this possible on the Cebit stand. The Toshiba F750 also features a Core i7 2630QM, 6GB ddr3 and a Nvidia GeForce GT540M gpu. Also, a blu-ray drive and usb 3.0 is present. In August, the model comes to the market in the United Kingdom, for a price of 1300 pounds. If and when the laptop comes to the Netherlands, is not yet known.
