Microsoft has Monday a Windows Phones app released that Lumia phones with the mobile operating system gestures support. This can be recorded by the smartphone up to the ear.

The app is called Gestures, and it is still in beta. The program allows Windows Phone users to further their microphone to a standstill by the smartphone with the screen facing down to lay down. In addition, they can the speaker activate the smartphone with the screen up.

Gestures works in combination with Windows Phone 8 and 8.1, so let Microsoft know. As far as is known, the company supports all of the latest devices, though the Lumia 635, 630 and 530 ‘limited functionality’. This refers presumably to the absence of the remote unit, which, among other things, the silence of the phone not working during the placement.

Although it is for the first time is that Microsoft Windows Phones provides control by means of gestures, it is not new that a manufacturer use this technique. Among other things HTC did this already in some Android devices and Windows Phones in 2012 under the name Attentive Phone.
