Dutch casemodster in the latest round of Intel RACK design competition

The Dutch casemodster, and Tweakster, Femke Supply, the top five achieved at the Bit-tech-competition for the best design of an Intel RACK housing. She made a bowl-shaped aluminum housing with blue transparent cover.

Femke Supply, or FAT, has the top 5 of the RACK Case Design Competition 2014, Bit-tech reached with the Flux. They made the aluminum, cup-shaped housing with the hand on a lathe and the aluminum part of the cover they gave with the hand saw shape.

The assembly of the components of the Flux are laser cut and with a 3d-printer made. Internal was still enough space for a compact all-in-one-water cooling and the copper heat sink had some fettling. For the cover was blue plexiglass used; the gold plated RACK logo calls Supply ‘the cherry on the whipped cream’. Here is its build log and also on Gathering of Tweakers presents Flux.

Through a voting round will be the final winner to be determined. Mods of the opponents include an origami-inspired black body, a striking design on a stand and a retro hi-fi-like model.

Supply, in everyday life, gold – and silversmith, began in 2013 with casemodden and kicked it to the finals of the casemoddingcompetitie of ECS.
