Developer let Super Mario walk around in Unreal Engine 4

Ever Unreal Tournament played and thought: how would this look like Super Mario wandering about in this world? A Mexican game developer has done exactly that, a Mario placed in environments of Unreal Engine 4.

To get, developer Aryok Pinera, all the movements of Mario are meticulously recreated and then the fake Mario as a character placed in environments that are made with the Unreal Engine 4 and the Unreal Development Kit.

In the video is to see how Mario coin grabs, which look a lot more realistic in appearance than in Nintendo’s Mario games, but other game elements like power-ups missing in the demonstration. Unfortunately, you can’t for yourself to get started. Pinera has no playable game online with the more realistic Mario.

The video, which Pinera this weekend posted online, is now more than a million views. Apparently, many people would like to know what it looks like, a Mario in a more realistic looking game.
