According to VideoGamer.com has a ‘high-ranking source within Crytek reported that the studio is working on the development of TimeSplitters 4 for the next Xbox. The game and the console would be revealed at E3 next year.

According to the employee of Crytek, Microsoft is getting ready for an announcement of the new console during the E3 of 2012, from 5 to 7 June will take place in Los Angeles. Crytek would be for this console and the successor of the PlayStation 3 is already working on TimeSplitters 4, reports VideoGamer.com on the basis of an anonymous but “high-ranking” source within the ontwikkelstudio.

Although there is, as yet, little is known about the possible specifications of the console, would the employee of Crytek, however, have reported that the device DirectX11 will support, with associated features such as tessellation, multithreaded rendering, and compute shaders. According to the Crytek representative runs TimeSplitters 4 on CryEngine 3. The game would be to a limited group of people already shown on the E3 of this year, those from 7 to 9 June took place.

That Crytek would be working on a TimeSplitters game seems to be credible. The studio bought in 2009, the ailing studio Free Radical, and thus became owner of the TimeSplitters franchise. It was rumored that Free Radical were already working on TimeSplitters 4, but that game was after the acquisition, nothing more heard. Crytek wanted to, according to VideoGamer.com not on the rumour respond.

A possible announcement of a new Microsoft console at the E3 of 2012 seems nevertheless not to be consistent with what the publisher had to see and hear at E3 press conference on Monday June 6, 2011. The platformhouder announced the beginning of a new Halo trilogy, in its entirety on the Xbox 360 should appear. The birth of a new console seems not to be in that picture to fit. Also Microsoft would not comment on the news of VideoGamer.com.
