Microsoft comes with in-app purchases for Windows Phone 7

Microsoft in-app purchases on Windows Phone 7. Users can use it in an app to buy things, such as extra levels in a game. The advent of in-app-purchases it seems from a session at a developer conference itself.

At the developer conference itself Microsoft Gamefest is a session on the schedule with the name “Downloadable content for Windows Phones”, which the description shows that it comes to in-app-purchases. This is apparent from the sessieprogramma. The session is in a few weeks, but Microsoft has never been told anything about the possibility of in-app purchases on Windows Phone.

Developers have the ability to a trial version of an app available, which is limited in time, number of runs or features. If a feature is called that only for paid users is available, a prompt will appear that the app is purchased. In-app-purchases are currently not possible.

The function is possible in Mango, the new version of Windows Phone 7 this autumn should appear. There are also new devices on the market including Samsung, LG, HTC, Acer and Nokia. Nokia wants its first Windows Phone devices as first in the Netherlands and five other European countries release, reports AllAboutPhones.

Other platforms already have the ability for in-app purchases. Apple introduced the ability as the first last year for iOS, and then Google followed with its own platform for in-app-purchases, this spring is activated. In-app purchases would be attractive to developers, because users have an app can download for free and then start paying. That would be for developers lead to more income over a long time than the single purchase of an application.
