This Marmitek IR extender extends the range of your infrared remote controls.
I have the equipment somewhere else than the TV, so an extender insurmountable.

Most of the (old) IR extenders worked with small plakzenders you each separately on the IR receiver eye, a device had to paste.
The additional 6 has two blaster LED’s which according to Marmitek bright, and a big spread. Therefore, they can be just somewhere in the space of the equipment hanging and they will always (also by means of reflection) the recipient’s reach.

The unit itself is small and has only a few inputs: mini-USB power in, IR in, 2x IR. Further, a control LED that blinks when a signal is received.
The receiver and transmitters are with jack plugs connected, it’s that easy. Duplex schuimtape is also provided.

The unit works from my Tele2 decoder usb port, so still a useless switching power supply can eliminate.

The recipient must actually line-of-sight to be placed, but slightly behind the TV, will there be enough IR radiation to the receiver by reflection.
The receiver has a cable that can be hinged into the housing, allows this as a tail from the receiver, or at right angles to the bottom.
It is a small a receiver so and will be on a black TV or in a cabinet doesn’t stand out.

The supported IR formats also includes the new RC-MM, and the receiver is filtered to influences outside of your remote control (sunlight, plasma TV, energy saving lamp etc.)

The price is maybe a dollar too much, but no problem for me, because it is drop, connect, and forget.
