HP registers six new TouchPad trademarks

HP has the Patent and Trademark Office in the United States six new names registered, that all six have to do with the TouchPad tablet from the company. A of the brand indicates on a 7″model of the TouchPad.

The six names that the company has in the contract are: TouchPadFlex, TouchPadPro, TouchPadTwin, TouchPadGeo, TouchPad7 and TouchPadGo, reports unwiredview. Officially, HP in addition to the upcoming a 9.7″touch Pad, no other models announced, but it is likely that the company eventually with a series of tablets.

The name TouchPad7 refers most likely to a 7″tablet in the series. The existence of this is already longer known. In January, leaked information about two tabletprototypes which HP worked; the 9,7″model was known under the code name Topaz and it comes out on July 1 in America on the market as the TouchPad. In the same documents was also mention of a 7″variant, with code name Opal, of which as yet no official announcement has been.

The 9,7″touch Pad is powered by a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm soc, contains 1GB of ram and comes to the market in a 16 and a 32GB variant. The tablet runs on the latest version of the WebOS operating system that HP got when Palm took over.

The tablet comes in on 1 July as the first in America, and then quickly a number of European countries will follow. The netherlands (not included in this initial selection. When the tablet in our country to come out, know HP the Netherlands not yet.
