The results of the MSI European Overclocking Competition was Sunday already known; the results the twenty participants knew to put down, and the photos of the contest we will no longer keep to ourselves.
As is well known, Greece last weekend the European overklokwedstrijd that Tweakers.net in collaboration with MSI, OCZ and Intel held has won. The Dutch team, consisting of Snot_Aap and Extera, fell with their fourth place just outside the boat to be able to Taiwan for the world championships. The Belgian team achieved the seventh place. The three best teams, germany, Greece, Turkey and France, will be in Taiwan with the best overclockers in the world to measure. All participants were the bulk of the available hardware, including an MSI P45D3 Platinum motherboard, a Geforce 9600GT, an Intel E8400 processor and a keyboard, mouse, and Vendetta cooler from OCZ. In addition, the winning team a GX600 notebook, MSI’s overklokbare notebook.
The scores of the participants were compiled by the percentage score-improvement of the graphics benchmark, 3Dmark05 and the cpu benchmarks (Superpi and Cinebench at for each count. For this purpose, first the reference system is benchmarked, while the hardware at default speeds it ran: processor at 3GHz, and the gpu at 650MHz, the gddr memory at 900MHz and the shader of the video card at 1625MHz. A not rounded 3dMark-test yielded only 10,000 points, while a failed Cinebench was good for a paltry 5,000 points.
