Highlights Jurian Pieter

My highlight of the day falls in a pm to summarize. Between half five and half six I saw Modern Warfare 2 and Star Wars: The Old Republic, which I each in a different way is very strong found. Modern Warfare 2 is a well-known name. Everyone knows what you of a Modern Warfare game you can expect, and the game makes up for that with flying colors.

Unfortunately, it was the demonstration that I received from Infinity Ward a bit on the short side, but what was shown was, in any case, convincing. Star Wars: The Old Repbulic, I had no expectations. I am not really a mmog fan, but I liked Knights of the Old Republic awesome, so so I am definitely interested in The Old Republic. The demonstration of LucasArts was impressive. The gentlemen have, in fact, an online version of Knights of the Old Republic, with all mmog elements that you know from WoW or Lotro.

Another interesting game that I’ve seen is DJ Hero. My main ask was if it works, and that appears certainly to be so. Unfortunately we have the game itself should play, but what was shown was convincing and sounded good to me. Especially the combination between the DJ and the guitar was very cool to see. Other bright spots today were Brink from Splash Damage and Academy of Football of Ubisoft. That last game won’t win any awards, but is fun to occasionally play a game to play against friends – despite the fact that the children intended. Of course, FIFA 10 is the better football game, but which game the player have the most fun results, as you can about the world.

Highlights Paul

The highlight of today was the demo of Alan Wake. The Finnish Remedy I high sit after Max Payne and especially Max Payne 2, so I’ve been very curious about the successor to Alan Wake. The game was also on Monday all to see, on a very large screen during one of the press conferences and then I noticed frankly a bit disappointing. But now, up close, and on a good screen, I’m a lot more positive. The appearance of the characters in the game is some blocky, but the rest of the game looks good and it promises to be especially exciting.

I have Brütal Legend and played there I was very very happy. Wonderfully over the top and very funny. I was surprised by Borderlands from Gearbox Software, a cross between World of Warcraft and a shooter only, and with up to four players in co-op can be played.

I had a day filled with top-class games, by the way. Of Mafia II I had already seen, but the winter mission that I today was again impressive. I also have Bioschock 2 and Mass Effect 2 as seen, no sick game. However, I was even more impressed by Guitar Hero 5. That has a very good Party Mode and all kinds of Game Rules that are set to play more fun, more varied and more challenging. Furthermore, the game features a new graphics engine and looks therefore much better. After Alan Wake a close second.
