“Dropbox lets business users collaborate on documents”

Dropbox for business users will be made possible within the cloudopslagdienst to work together on documents and presentations. The collaboration tool works for Microsoft Office files, but is not yet available for consumers.

On his blog explains Dropbox that business users have got to be online to work together on documents and presentations. With Microsoft Office files such as Word, Excel, and Powerpoint, to enable the functionality of a ‘badge’ is shown. There, users can see who else a particular document works and if there is already a newer version of the file to which to work.

Dropbox says that online collaboration is part of Project Harmony, which later even more innovations, their way will be found to the cloudopslagdienst. As yet, only business users who have access to the early access program have the online collaboration tools. It is unclear whether to collaborate on Office files in the long term also for consumers.

The new functionality is an extension of the ever-closer growing integration of Dropbox and Microsoft Office. Previously integrated Microsoft all file storage service in its Office software.
