The American company CoolChip is working on a new kind of cpu cooler on the basis of an impeller that his work effic lwa nter and quieter, it would give the current fans. A prototype of the cooler is half less high than many of the existing coolers.
The cooler where CoolChip to work consists of a round copper baseplate with a motor and aluminium impeller. The impeller sucks in cold air from above and through the sides, heat is dissipated. Through a tiny air gap gives the copper base plate heat up.
CoolChip aims the fan at 3000rpm to rotate. The movement of the air it would 18cfm amounts at a noise level of less than 35dB(A). One of the biggest advantages is the low height of 25.1 mm, which is thinner computerontwerpen with retention of performance. The cooler would be with standard brackets can be mounted.
