Apple usually makes exclusive new wallpapers for new products. You will not find this standard on other models. If you still want to set that exclusive background, you often have to download it elsewhere. This turns out not to be necessary for the new iMac 2021 wallpaper, because they are simply hidden in macOS Big Sur 11.3. We'll show you how to set them yourself.

Set iMac 2021 wallpaper on your own Mac

The wallpaper comes in seven different colors, for every color of the iMac & eacute; & eacute; n. It consists of colored stripes that at first glance don't represent anything, but if you take a closer look, you can see that the wallpapers together form parts of Apple's famous Hello saying. This Hello wallpaper is standard on the new M1 iMac from 2021 that will be released later this month, but you can also install it yourself. You can choose all seven colors!

How to set the iMac 2021 wallpaper, from macOS Big Sur 11.3:

  1. Open System Preferences and go to Desktop & Screen Saver.
  2. Double click in the left column under the heading Apple on Desktop.
  3. The Finder will open and you will automatically be taken to the Desktop Pictures folder. Look for the Hello wallpaper.
  4. Right click on the background you want to set and choose Set desktop picture.

So keep in mind that this only works from macOS Big Sur 11.3. If you want to put the Hello screensaver on your Mac in addition to the Hello wallpapers, you can do that too. This screensaver is also available on your Mac and you can set it yourself in a detour. The screen saver consists of an animation in which the word Hello is written in several languages, in varying colors.
