After eight seasons, 47 Emmys, a lot of blood, Sex, and two dead dragons on the cult series “Game of Thrones” was their crowning achievement. The Fans are split in their opinion, all other questions: Why all the Hype?

HBOs most successful series of all time
GoT was the most expensive fictional television series of the story – and the one with the most viewers. In the last season the Budget was per episode at $ 15 million (13.4 million Euro). Since the beginning of the series in 2011, the US cable channel HBO, the number of spectators grew constantly. In the seventh and penultimate season, the rates reached dizzying heights: 16.5 million watched the last episode on the day of the broadcast live or via Streaming, and a further 15 million tuned in later.
