The first decisions have been made. Of the 17 participants of the first Semifinales of the Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv, ten came. You see we on Saturday.

    Australia: Kate Miller-Heidke

    In the Flop-gallery our ESC Reporter Rick Fulker and Silke were Wish kind of beside the point. Kate Miller-Heidke from Australia, has thrilled the viewers with her floating number. The Song “Zero Gravity” tells the story of how the singer is freed from her Depression.

    Estonia: Victor Crone

    Victor Crone turned with a real guitar on the stage. This made a cosy impression, and this rewarded the audience, too.

    Iceland: Hatari

    “Hatred must prevail” – the title of this song is not friendly, but Iceland scored with his martial appearance. In front of a spherical iron cage Hatari moved up a sinister man sat enthroned, with a huge stick on a little struck. The action in front of the ball reminded me a bit of a fetish Party. The Music: Industrial-Pop Mixture.

    Cyprus: Meet Tamta

    Meet Tamta from Cyprus did not harm the first place. They put on a great dance number – not as fiery as your ESC predecessor, Eleni Foureira last year, cool and sexy.

    Czech Republic: Lake Malawi

    The Czech Republic began last year on a youth Act. The three guys from Lake Malawi, brought a cheerful airy Popnummer, and the yellow sweater the singer is already a cult now.

    San Marino: Serhat

    Serhat was the second Time for San Marino. With a deep rough voice, he sang a shallow Popliedchen that has been in spite of, or because of its simplicity and the Taschsache that he was more often beside it, for a good mood in the viewers.

    Belarus: Zena

    A colorful cheerful dance number, performed by the only 16-Year-old singer – the ESC audience wants to see Zena again.

    Woman, beautiful, dress, voice, ESC-power ballad: The recipe of Serbia is not innovative. But always with the ESC seen.

    Katerina the audience impressed with her impressive voice. Also her appearance as a flower-elf was well.

    The minimalist love ballad of the Slovenes was swept in and seemed to be in spite of the large stage, very intimate.

Australia, Greece, Belarus, Serbia, Cyprus, Estonia, the Czech Republic, Iceland, San Marino, Slovenia made it through.

The Surprise of the Evening was the contribution from Australia was. Kate Miller-Heidke and her two dancers were attached to long poles, and were swiveled back and forth. To do this, Kate sang a type of Pop-Opera – in Australia, a well-known Opera singer. The song is not for everyone. But after she had shown, this stage show is not only increased in the favor of the press and Fans, but also for the bookies – a very important indicator in this competition.

Netta made the start
Netta Barzilai, the winner of the ESC 2018, in Lisbon, had brought the Contest to Israel. And so they opened the Show with a spectacular appearance. Previously, a touching Video was played by a chubby little kid in the tutu wanted to be a Star. And this child the winner’s trophy of the ESC holds up years later, finally in the hands.

Netta takes the stage

And so Netta came out at the beginning of the Show an oversized wink cat and performed their winning song from 2018 “Toy” in a new Version.

In addition to the 17 participants, three of the set of candidates could today imagine. Miki from Spain, Bilal from France and Kobi Marimi sent from the host of Israel into the race, were briefly interviewed, small snippets of their songs were played. These countries, in addition to Germany, the UK and Italy, have traditionally had a Wildcard for the final show, because they belong to the EBU (European Broadcasting Union) and the largest funder of the competition, will be seen by millions of viewers around the world.

Favorites in the second semi-final

The next Show will take place on Thursday evening, then will compete in the second semi-final singers from 18 Nations against each other. It is noteworthy that the current favourites to romp. It may be interesting, such as Russia, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Sweden are cut off and whether there will be more Surprises.
